Copyright Warning System CAS (Copyright Alert System)Is an improved structure with initiatives from American internet service providers and music and film producers. The companies that will implement the system include giant internet service providers such as AT & T, Cablevision, Comcast, Time Warner Cable and Verizon, as well as representatives of the music and film industry united under the Center for Copyright Information. The aim of the system is to warn internet users against pirated content and to remove them from pirated content with minor sanctions.

If users continue to download pirated content despite all warnings, internet speeds will be minimized. There are no sanctions, such as money or imprisonment.

Copyright Warning System CAS (Copyright Alert System)The companies that are included in the list will be identified as pirated and the internet service providers will notify the internet service providers and internet service providers will also alert the users to download pirated content. If users who are found to have downloaded pirated content from the Internet, a maximum of six warnings will be sent, and no other sanction will be applied for now.

Copyright Notice Stages of the System
1-) In the first two warning messages to be sent to users, the harms of downloading pirated content will be explained.
2-) The next two warnings will show where users can download content legally.
3-) The fifth warning will require a user to watch a video describing the harms of downloading pirated content.
4-) If the user continues to download pirated content, the internet connection speed will be reduced to a minimum of 48 hours with the last warning.

The Copyright Warning System does not yet have an application such as a financial fine. It is unclear how a sanction will be applied to those who continue to download pirated content at the end of six applications. According to officials, the main purpose of the system will be to encourage internet users to download copyrighted content.

Unfortunately the system is not applied now in Turkey.
